Frequently Asked Questions
What does the evaluation version include?
The evaluation version of Setfos or Laoss lets you explore OLED, solar cell, and photodetector simulations using preloaded example projects. It is a limited version — you can test workflows, visualize results, and understand the simulation process, but full functionality is only available in the licensed version.
Is the evaluation fully functional?
No. The evaluation version is restricted to example projects provided by Fluxim. It is designed to help you understand how the software works and explore the user interface. A full license unlocks complete functionality, including custom device stack setup and advanced simulations.
How long does the free trial last?
The evaluation license runs for 1 month. If you need more time, you can contact us for an extension or discuss purchasing a full license.
Why do I need to provide a Machine ID?
Your Machine ID is required so we can generate a trial license specific to your computer. This ensures that the evaluation software runs securely and reliably on your system.
How do I find my Machine ID?
Click the “Find Your Machine ID” link on the evaluation page. This will download a small helper tool. Run the tool on your computer, and it will display your Machine ID and copy it automatically. Paste this ID into the form so we can generate your trial license.
Is it safe to give my Machine ID?
Yes, it’s safe — but only share it with trusted sources like Fluxim. Think of your Machine ID like an alias
on Telegram or Facebook. Vendors can use it to link or remove a license, but it does not expose your personal
data.
🔒 At Fluxim, we keep all Machine IDs secure and use them only to generate your software license.
