The Workshop on Stable Hybrid Perovskite Materials for Photovoltaics Under Real-World Conditions will take place in Fribourg, Switzerland on the 23rd of February 2023.
Hybrid perovskite materials have become one of the leading semiconductors for
photovoltaics, however, their application is limited by the instabilities against the environmental conditions (oxygen and water) as well as during operation (voltage bias and light), which is related to degradation processes often involving ion migration.
To overcome this pressing challenge, an interdisciplinary effort is required to develop stable materials that function under real-world operating conditions involving day-night cycles and seasonal changes.
Fluxim´s Dr. Antonio Cabas Vidani will be presenting an invited talk on:
Analysis of ionic charge carriers in FA-based perovskite and ageing of high-bandgap perovskite films and solar cells
16:00 - 16:30
Our colleague, Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Tress from ZHAW will be opening the workshop with an invited talk on:
Perovskite Solar Cells under Real-World Conditions 09:15 - 09:45
These instabilities have stimulated the development of a number of promising strategies to address them, such as employing passivation agents, using low-dimensional perovskite analogs, as well as developing novel perovskite compositions for improving intrinsic stability, and encapsulation strategies for improving extrinsic degradation processes, which becomes very relevant for the fabrication of large-area devices and commercialization of the technology.
The aim of this workshop is to gather experts in the field of hybrid perovskites who have been leading the development of stable hybrid perovskites under real-world operating conditions and engage them in a discussion on the latest developments and future challenges. In addition, the workshop will provide a platform for the international attendees to interact and exchange about the research strategies and methodologies in the development of stable perovskite solar cells.
