Research Webinar:

Perovskite-Silicon Tandem Solar Cells: Advancements in Fabrication and Analyses

Our 4th research webinar of 2024 is one not to miss. Dr. Erkan Aydin from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU), will be presenting the following topic:

Ultra-efficient perovskite-silicon tandem solar cells

Date & Time: Wed, May 8th, 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM (CEST)

Joining him will be Fluxim´s Dr. Urs Aeberhard who will be presenting a talk on Analysis & optimization of perovskite-silicon tandem solar cells by full opto-electronic simulation.

This webinar, hosted by Dr. Daniele Braga (Fluxim), is a must attend for researchers working on tandem solar cells.

We look forward to seeing you there!

About the Speakers

Dr. Erkan Aydin

Erkan Aydın is leading a research team in the Chemistry Department of LMU Munich. His research group is focusing on the development of multijunction solar cells, specifically perovskite/silicon tandem solar cells and all-perovskite tandem solar cells. Erkan Aydın obtained his PhD (2016) degree from the Micro and Nanotechnology Program at TOBB ETU (University of Economics and Technology) in 2016 and he pursued his postdoctoral research at KAUST for seven and a half years before establishing his team at LMU Munich. His extensive work at KAUST led to several record-breaking efficiencies in perovskite-silicon tandem solar cells. Erkan Aydın is the principal investigator of the INPERSPACE Project (ERC Starting Grant). With this project, Aydın’s team is developing space-grade perovskite-based tandem solar cells for the new space era that we entered after the recent privatization of the space industry

Simulation Expertise

Dr. Urs Aeberhard

Dr. Urs Aeberhard, a Senior R&D Scientist at Fluxim AG, is an expert in the field of solar cell and opto-electronic device simulation. With a PhD in condensed matter theory from ETH Zurich, his expertise is underpinned by extensive research, including pioneering work on quantum well solar cells at the Paul Scherrer Institute. His professional journey further includes significant work on nanostructure-based high-efficiency solar cells performed at Forschungszentrum Jülich, focusing on quantum transport and multiscale simulations. Since joining Fluxim in 2018 and serving as a Guest Lecturer at ETH Zurich, Dr. Aeberhard has continued working towards advancing simulation technologies for photovoltaic devices.

Dr. Daniele Braga

This webinar, hosted by Dr. Daniele Braga of Fluxim, promises to be a blend of detailed scientific exploration and practical simulation applications.

Dr. Daniele Braga holds a PhD in Materials Science and leads the Sales and Marketing team at FLUXiM AG.

His primary interest lies in emerging photovoltaics, specifically perovskite PVs. Dr. Braga has an extensive scientific background combined with business development expertise.
